1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Clifford Francisco, doing business as Fordytech Solutions, of Naga City, Camarines Sur, Philippines (“we,” “us”), the developer of the Pawfetti app (“Pawfetti,” “the app”). By downloading, installing or using Pawfetti, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app.

You must be at least 13, or the minimum age in your country, to use Pawfetti. If you are under 18, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission to buy a subscription.

2. Your license to use Pawfetti

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Pawfetti for your own non-commercial purposes on devices that you own or control: on Android devices as permitted by the Google Play Terms of Service, and on Apple-branded devices as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, rent or sublicense the app, extract its care guide, breed lists or food catalog, or use it to build a competing product, except where the law expressly allows it.

3. Pawfetti Pro, subscriptions and purchases

Pawfetti is free to download. Two pets with the full health record, schedules and reminders, the on-screen vet summary, weight history, the daily routine, expenses with the month’s total and one budget, this month’s report, 3 new Sam chats a day, the Feeding Tracker, scanning receipts and vaccination cards, Find a Vet for vet clinics and 24-hour vets, the care guide, and automatic backup to your own iCloud or Google Drive (and restoring) are free. Pawfetti Pro adds extra features, currently Walks (recording, the history, routes, goals, an energy estimate for dogs, Sam’s walking coach, and logging and starting a walk from your Apple Watch; the Apple Watch glance, to look at your pets’ care, is free), medicine doses (a dose schedule, reminders and marking doses given, late or missed), the Journal (moments with photos and notes), Siri and Shortcuts (voice actions: Siri, the Shortcuts app and the Action button on iPhone, Google voice actions on Android; the app icon’s touch-and-hold menu and the widgets are free), the lost-pet poster, pet shops, groomers, pet pharmacies, boarding, shelters and dog parks on the Find a Vet map, more than two pets, unlimited Sam chats (fair use, see section 6), photo checks (a health concern, a breed, a medicine’s or vaccine’s label), reports for any period with trends and PDF and CSV exports, the vet summary as a PDF, a budget for each pet, your own Home layout, a backup file you save yourself, and starting a family. Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly, at the prices shown in the app before you buy.

  • Payment is charged to your Google Play account (on Android) or your Apple Account (on iPhone) when you confirm the purchase.
  • A subscription renews automatically at the same price and for the same period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Pro may start with a free trial, if one is offered, as shown in the app before you subscribe. The trial converts to a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
  • You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time. On Android, open the Google Play Store app → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. On iPhone, go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
  • Purchases are handled by Google or Apple, and refunds are subject to their policies. For Google Play, request one from your Google Play order history; if Google Play can’t help, contact us. For the App Store, request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • If we change the price of a subscription, Google or Apple will tell you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent.
  • If you change devices, use Restore purchases on the Pawfetti Pro screen with the same Google account or Apple Account. Pro bought on Android and Pro bought on iPhone are separate purchases.
  • If Pro ends, nothing you recorded is deleted: pets past the first stay on your phone, locked, with their reminders still working, and Walks, medicine doses, the Journal and the lost-pet poster lock too: their screens and reminders stop and what you recorded is hidden, but it all stays on your phone, in your backups and in a family’s shared data, and opens again when you subscribe again. A walk you are already recording can still be ended and saved. Siri and Shortcuts actions say they need Pro until you subscribe again; the app icon’s menu and the widgets keep working.

We may add, change or remove features over time. If we remove a core Pro feature you have paid for, we’ll give you notice and, where the law requires it, a fair remedy.

4. Your content

Your pets’ profiles, records, photos, notes, expenses and messages (“your content”) belong to you. You give us permission to process and send your content only as needed to run the features you use, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your content and for having the right to add it, including photos of documents from your vet.

Family Sharing. When you share a pet with your family, every member of the family can see and change that pet and its records, and their changes reach your phone. Share only with people you trust, and only your family’s QR with people you want in it: anyone who scans it while it’s shown joins. The family’s owner can remove members; anyone can leave. A lost-pet poster prints only what you choose, and what you put on it is up to you.

5. Sam, the scanner and the care guide

Sam and Pro’s photo checks use artificial intelligence to give general information about dogs and cats, based on your question or photo and the record you keep in the app; the scanner reads receipts, cards and labels with your phone’s own text recognition. The care guide is written from public veterinary and health sources, listed in each topic, and has not been reviewed by a veterinarian unless the app says so. All of it can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. A scan can misread a card, a label or a receipt.

  • Not veterinary advice: nothing in Pawfetti is a diagnosis, a prescription or a treatment plan. Sam can make mistakes. Consult a veterinarian for professional advice. If your pet is in distress, go to a veterinarian.
  • Dates and doses: schedules and reminders are only as right as what you enter from your vet. Pawfetti doesn’t invent a vaccination schedule, and the dose on a scanned label is shown as written, for you to check against your vet’s instructions.
  • Feeding: feeding amounts come from the food’s own label or a general estimate and are a starting point, not a prescription. Follow your vet’s advice for puppies, kittens, seniors and pets on a special diet.
  • Sam is limited by new conversations, not messages. Free includes 3 new chats in any rolling 24 hours, and follow-up questions inside a chat don’t count. Pro is presented as unlimited AI access, subject to a fair-use allowance of up to 100 new chats in any rolling 24 hours; if you reach it, Sam pauses new chats until the oldest one is more than 24 hours old, and the app tells you when. A chat that doesn’t get an answer isn’t counted. Sam answers only about dogs and cats, and we may limit use that is automated, abusive or excessive.
  • Don’t use Sam to create unlawful, harmful or misleading content, or to get around its limits.

6. Reminders, places and figures

Reminders depend on your device settings and may be delayed or not go off. Find a Vet shows listings from Google and OpenStreetMap as they are, including hours, which can be out of date: call before you go. Totals, charts and reports are calculated from what you entered. Pawfetti helps you keep track, but you remain responsible for your pet’s care.

Walks. A walk’s distance, pace, route and steps come from your phone’s or watch’s GPS and step counter and can be wrong, especially with a weak signal, indoors or in a crowd. The energy estimate, a walking goal and any note after a walk are general guidance for a pet in good health, not veterinary advice, and are not a diet, a feeding amount or a medical measure; ask your vet what exercise suits your pet. Walk safely: watch the traffic, the weather and your pet, and stop if they seem unwell. Use of the Apple Watch app, and of Apple Health if you turn it on, is also subject to Apple’s terms.

7. Acceptable use

Don’t misuse Pawfetti. For example, don’t break the law with it, interfere with or overload our servers, try to access other people’s data, upload malware, or scrape, copy or resell the care guide, the food catalog or the service.

8. Third-party services and content

Pawfetti works with services run by others, such as Google’s Gemini for Sam and Pro’s photo checks, iCloud and Google Drive for backups, Google Maps and Places and OpenStreetMap for Find a Vet, Wikipedia for breed descriptions, and the app store you downloaded it from. Their own terms apply, and we are not responsible for their content or availability. You must also follow any third-party terms that apply to you, such as your mobile carrier’s terms.

9. Our intellectual property

Pawfetti, its design, code, text, illustrations, the care guide, Sam and the Pawfetti name and logo belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. Breed descriptions come from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license and are credited in the app. Product names in the food catalog belong to their makers and don’t mean those makers endorse Pawfetti. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, Pawfetti is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will never lose data, or that its information will be accurate. Keep your vet’s own documents, and your phone’s backup on.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, illness, injury or death of an animal, or costs arising from your use of Pawfetti, including from relying on Sam, a scan, the care guide, a reminder or a listing. Our total liability for any claim about Pawfetti is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Pawfetti in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived by law, or our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

12. Ending these Terms

You can stop using Pawfetti at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, or if we stop offering the app. If that happens, your license ends, but sections 4, 9 to 11, and 13 to 15 continue to apply.

13. Google Play-specific terms

If you downloaded Pawfetti from Google Play, you and we also agree that:

  • These Terms are between you and us only, not Google. We, not Google, are solely responsible for Pawfetti, its content, and its maintenance and support.
  • Your download and purchases are also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service and Google Play’s payments terms. Where those terms conflict with these Terms about how Google Play works, Google’s terms apply to that part.
  • Questions, complaints or claims about Pawfetti should be sent to us using the contact details at the end of these Terms.

14. Apple-specific terms

If you downloaded Pawfetti from the Apple App Store, you and we also agree that:

  • These Terms are between you and us only, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for Pawfetti and its content.
  • Your license is limited to using Pawfetti on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Apps can also be used by other accounts linked to you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
  • We are solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for Pawfetti. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app.
  • If Pawfetti fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app, if any. To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Pawfetti. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses caused by a failure to meet a warranty are our responsibility, to the extent these Terms don’t disclaim them.
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to Pawfetti or your use of it. This includes (i) product liability claims, (ii) any claim that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and (iii) claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
  • If a third party claims that Pawfetti or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
  • You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Questions, complaints or claims about Pawfetti should be sent to us using the contact details at the end of these Terms.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right, and is deemed to have accepted the right, to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that can’t be resolved informally will be heard by the courts of Naga City, Camarines Sur, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it in your local courts.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Pawfetti changes. We’ll revise the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or on this page before they take effect. If you keep using Pawfetti after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If any part of these Terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
